Article 402: Time management; the housemaster is coming

Dedication: Pastor Amponfi, who trained us to manage our time effectively whilst we were still in the junior high school.
Enjoy…
In a twinkle of an eye, if the coming of Christ tarries, the year 2018 will also come to an end very soon. 2018 won’t stay with us forever; it might seem too long, but don’t let time take you by surprise. I don’t know what you have planned doing this year, neither do I know your ambitions. But one thing I know for sure, that there is a purpose for everything under the sun. I strongly believe that all of us have something to do; each of us have a role to play to contribute something to life. All that we are destined to do will be realized if we take time management into due consideration in our everyday life.
“Time is the currency of the earth. God did not give you friends. He gave you Time, and you Invested Time into people and created friendships. He did not give you money. He gave you Time. You exchanged it for paper money from your boss and employer.” This statement made by Mike Murdock in his book titled ‘the assignment’ signifies how important time is to an individual.

Sometime ago at high school, I felt as if I was some robot – programmed to execute certain task; wake up at dawn, do everything on time, move to class for morning studies, come back to my house, have some little sleep, move to the dining hall, go back to class for evening studies etc. in that order and I believe this has really been of help. In fact no time was wasted at all.  But it is better to feel being programmed this year and succeed than doing whatever you want at any time and fail. To leave no truth unsaid, we witnessed others who spent much of their time with friends not doing anything important, yes that is the hard truth, and one of my teachers usually referred to some of those acts as ‘a wicked waste of time.’.
Frankly speaking, some students will move out of their various houses to study only when they hear rumours that their house masters are coming around, as if they were in school to learn for their authorities. You might have fallen victim of this, but those days are over. This is an article of rescuing; I am rescuing to come out of the mismanagement of time with the blood of Jesus. If you really want to excel, don’t be among those who will never react positively until they hear other colleagues yelling “the housemaster is coming, the housemaster coming.” That is enough, 2018 should be a different year, you might have set your goals already and that’s great, but it’s not too late to add time management as one of your topmost priorities. If you are a college student, have you thought of how you can impact your society apart from the normal class - room work (writing quizzes and examination)? If you are a worker, what can you do to impact someone's life and the society as a whole. One of the things I have always said is: “do something whilst you still have the chance, a time is coming when you can do them no more.”   You were created for a purpose! Time is very precious and should never be misused.

Keep it up!!!

Keep it up!!! Dedication: To Miss Mariama Sulemana, a member of the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA), UCC, Ghana who completed not long ago. In the junior and senior high schools of my country, a student who usually scores good marks in examinations is accorded with the statement ‘keep it up’.   These words are very powerful and really motivational when one takes time to think about it carefully. Unfortunately So many people took these words for granted in those days because maybe they couldn’t analyses it critically. To confess, I personally took it for granted too until Miss Mariama motivated me with these words when my first article was published. In fact, there was a particular message I wanted to deliver to a certain category of people which has been fulfilled. But here am I being trapped with the words ‘keep it up’. Well, let me keep it up until I have nothing to write. Dear reader never forget these powerful words in your life. In your

GHANA BEYOND AID: REFINING THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

GHANA BEYOND AID: REFINING THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM The idea of Ghana beyond aid is a laudable idea by the government which demands total rearrangement in almost all levels of our national institutions. The educational system cannot be left out when talking about a nation ‘beyond aid’. We need educational system that promises to tackle issues that impede national development – an educational system that will assure its citizens of adequate knowledge and requisite skills READILY NEEDED for harnessing national growth (emphasis capitalized). We need a school system, starting from the junior high school as well as the senior high level, which will enable our young ones to gain grounds to compete with global economy. In that case the nation wouldn’t employ the service of foreigners for our nation, from basic service delivery to Construction works. I hope this is not new because it is a common place to hear of such things as the employment of foreign aid for  our developments, I believe

When the game is over

When the game is over  As a person, some events of life keep me in the classroom of lessons. One of such is the passing on of mankind; you will not live forever. The world is filled with evils, lies, pain and death and you can’t hide from it, you can only face it. Sorry, I don’t intend to make you sad but that is the reality. Ha-ha, rejoice! There are good things too, through Christ Jesus our Lord, if you don’t have him seek for him. In fact, Life is a journey not so much to a destination, there are no winners and there are no losers. Frankly speaking, the person you may recognize useless today might be the one to help you out tomorrow. So you see, who won?   I personally believe victory should be counted by the number of lives saved, your impact to the society and the legacy you leave behind. Dear reader, what have you done for your generation? After a football match it is obvious for spectators to tell who performed well and who did not,
